Welcome

Benjamin Gautrey, sadly lost his life on August 29th 2011 at Cadwell Park Race Circuit. Ben was riding in the Metzeler Superstock 600 Class with MWR Kawasaki.

Ben started his racing career with the Aprilia Superteens and progressed to the Aprilia 450 Championship, which he won in 2010.

The vision of ‘The Foundation’ is to support young riders who take the same route into racing that Ben did.

‘The Foundation’ will support sport from grass root level and will promote the sports in which Ben was so passionate. Ben was involved in Gymnastics from the age of 4 to 17, he was an advanced gymnast competing and winning Competitions. Ben played Football for Southport Juniors and Ainsdale Juniors and had been fortunate enough to be on trial with Liverpool Academy and Preston North End. Ben played cricket for Southport Trinity and represented his county, Sefton, where he had been selected as Captain. Ben had also been a Junior Member of the Hesketh Golf Club in Southport.  Ben was a natural athlete and capable to a high level in numerous disciplines.

Along with Ben’s College Course in Southport where Ben studied Engineering he was also participating in an ‘Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence’ at Loughborough College.

Ben was recognised as an ‘Elite Athlete’.

Ben was a very talented young man in many ways and was the first to help others.

Through his ‘Foundation’ we aim to help as many young sports people as possible in the hope that they can achieve their dreams just like Ben was.
